Stories and Seasons
Art Classes
Hello! Welcome to Spindlewood Cottage School art classes. I am so excited to have your child/children join me on this imaginative and fun adventure as we explore rich stories and seasonal observations together through art. We will learn and grow so much together.
Goals and Purpose
I have always enjoyed creating. As a child, my grandma and aunt were artists and taught me many skills, probably the most important of which was observation, and believing in myself as an artist. I hope to pass this mindset on to my students. I firmly believe everyone can create. Our class will be a safe space where imagination will guide us as we explore rich stories and beauty found in the world around us. This class will be very influenced by the Waldorf philosophy of education.

Tuition and Snack/Supply Fee
Tuition is $70 a month (4-6 yr old 2 hr class) or $60 a month (6-9 yr old class 1 ½ hours), due by the first of each month. In addition to monthly tuition, there is a one-time $70 snack and supply fee due when the contract is signed. This will hold your child’s spot in the class and provide me funds to start purchasing supplies.
Payments can be made via Venmo @Heather-Zemp
Class Cancellation Policy
I look forward to meeting every week during the school year. However, life is unpredictable and I need to allow myself 2 days of paid leave due to sickness or emergency throughout the course of the year. Hopefully they will not be needed. If for any reason class is canceled beyond those 2 days, tuition will be prorated the following month.
What to Bring
All arts and supplies needed for class will be provided.
When weather permits, class will be held outside. We have a covered patio and fully fenced yard with a sandbox, and trampoline. Please send your child with clothes suitable for the weather.
Children are welcome to bring a water bottle if they would like.
**Please DO NOT send your child with toys or electronics as these can be distracting.
